| Visit the Southernmost Point in the Continental U.S.A. right here at the corner of South and Whitehead Streets. This painted buoy is one of the most photographed icons of Key West and is the point closest to Cuba - a mere 90 miles away. |

| Ernest Hemingway spent a few short years in Key West. He spent time here fishing, writing and drinking. His home is on Whitehead Street near the corner of Truman and Whitehead. The grounds and home are beautiful and there are tours daily of the home, writing room and grounds where Hemingway`s famous 6 toed cats live. |

| Just 70 miles west of Key West is Fort Jefferson and one of America`s most remote national parks, the Dry Tortugas National Park. Visit the island and tour the fort plus spend some time snorkeling the moat around the fort and view the beautiful tropical fish. The Dry Tortugas is a birding sanctuary too! |
